I have been married for over 28 years and I have three children and a very energetic border collie puppy. I have lived in Ohio, Texas, Arkansas, California, Michigan, and now Alabama. My daughter and her husband live in Montreal, Canada, my oldest son lives in Brentwood, Tennessee, and my youngest son is currently a student at Auburn University. I love to travel and explore new places with my family.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University, a Masters in Science Education from The Ohio State University, and I received my Gifted Certification From The University of Alabama. I am highly qualified to teach science classes in 6th grade through 12th grade, and gifted education in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Even though I am a graduate of Alabama's wonderful Gifted Education program and all three of my children went to Auburn, I am an Ohio State Buckeye at heart! Go Bucks!
I taught 8th grade science for 10 years in Dublin, Ohio where I was a team leader for three years. When my family moved to Alabama, I taught 8th grade science for one year and Gifted Education classes for three years at Chapman Middle School. Then I taught Gifted Education classes for one year at both Providence Elementary School and Challenger Elementary School. Now I am thrilled to be teaching Gifted Education full time at Challenger Elementary! The students here are enthusiastic and curious, which makes my job so much fun!
